Moanalua Mock Trial 2018-2019 has been the most successful year the team has seen for a long time. This year Moanalua was the only one left in the finals at states this year and for the first time ever both Moanalua Silver and Moanalua Blue was left in the finals and faced off against each other. Moanalua Blue is now preparing for their national trip all the way in Athens, Georgia competing to represent the Hawaii and Moanalua. The team that is going to national consists of 12 people, many long time veterans, but also a few rookies. Having a case file of over 200 pages with many exhibits the time for competition gets closer and closer. The two rookies going to nationals this year is freshman Ryder Quon and Amanda Raphaella Ibanez, both excited but nervous to what national will be. “Nationals is nerve racking, but it will be a good experience for me and give me a different outlook I have toward Mock Trial and hopefully improve my teaching abilities for the future.” said Ryder Quon. Everyone on the Moanalua nationals team is ready to represent Hawaii and to represent Hawaii in this years 2019 Mock Trial nationals.
